Coppenrath Verlag

The Publishing House and its History

Coppenrath Publishing in Muenster has a long tradition: in 1768 Josef Heinrich Coppenrath founded Coppenrath Publishing. For over two centuries the firm remained familyowned until the young graphic artist and publisher Wolfgang Hölker took it over in 1977. He gave the company a new direction with his innovative ideas. The program emphasises both children- and gift-books. »I have to be proud of the books that I publish«, Wolfgang Hölker says. So arose children-books of high graphic quality, which always include something special.

Board Books

»Growing up with Coppenrath« is the topic of the guidance concept for the first three years of life. Audienceadequate book concepts, exceptional designs and sophisticated equipment shapes characterize the program of cloth picture and board books – and last but not least the series mini musicians: hands-on books on the subject of music for children from 18 months to 5 years.

Picture Books

Well-known authors and illustrators characterize the high-quality picture and story books with their handwriting and the special flair for original stories, child-friendly illustrations and lovable characters. The most successful figure of the publishing house is Felix, who has been capturing the hearts of children for 25 years. Princess Lillifee, Capt'n Sharky and others became popular the following years. The accompanying non-book items have a permanent place in children's rooms around the world.

Creative and Non-Fiction Books

The fresh and modern program offers plenty of suggestions for small and big artists. Our programs ›Mini-Artists‹ and ›100% do it yourself‹ offer all creative kids a lot of fun and guarantee reliable success.

Audiobooks

Singing, dancing, playing - that is the motto of the program ›Eyes & Ears‹. Well-known voices of e.g. Sissi Perlinger, Axel Prahl and Dirk Bach invite listeners to a true feast for the ears.

Juvenile and Young Adult Books

Coppenrath Publishing offers a versatile youth book program since 2006. It has been continually grown and has established itself as a successful market segment. The range of topics is wide: from comic novels for youths, mystery science fiction for teens and young adults - from exciting reading material to sophisticated fiction.
