FISCHER Sauerländer stands for a collection featuring exceptional picture books, a sophisticated narrative program for children and young adults, as well as unique non-fiction titles. Renowned authors from German-speaking countries and around the globe feel at home here, alongside new talents. With the goal of publishing exciting and bold literature for young readers, FISCHER Sauerländer aspires to open the windows to new worlds.

In 1994, the foundation for today's publishing house was laid with the children's book program of Fischer Schatzinsel. With the addition of the Sauerländer publishing house, founded in 1807 in Switzerland by Heinrich Remigius Sauerländer, a distinguished children's and YA publishing house has emerged since 2013.

Program

FISCHER Sauerländer Jugendbuch offers modern, sophisticated, and innovative content; compelling young adult novels that touch the soul. With many popular series like Anna Benning's »Vortex« series or Kiera Cass's »Selection« series, the titles embrace diverse themes from suspense and magic to love and growing up. At the same time, the program does not shy away from covering international themes and controversial societal issues of our time. Kathleen Glasgow's »Girl in Pieces« excels in engaging teenagers and young adults in this area. In addition, FISCHER Sauerländer Jugendbuch offers many still-relevant classics of children's and young adult literature like »Die rote Zora,« »Die schwarzen Brüder,« or »Der Junge im gestreiften Pyjama«.
