FISCHER Sauerländer Taschenbuch

FISCHER Sauerländer stands for a collection featuring exceptional picture books, a sophisticated narrative program for children and young adults, as well as unique non-fiction titles. Renowned authors from German-speaking countries and around the globe feel at home here, alongside new talents. With the goal of publishing exciting and bold literature for young readers, FISCHER Sauerländer aspires to open the windows to new worlds.

In 1994, the foundation for today's publishing house was laid with the children's book program of Fischer Schatzinsel. With the addition of the Sauerländer publishing house, founded in 1807 in Switzerland by Heinrich Remigius Sauerländer, a distinguished children's and YA publishing house has emerged since 2013.

Program

From the beginning, paperbacks for young people have been a part of FISCHER Sauerländer's program. Here, young readers can find their favorite books from the diverse hardcover programs, as well as captivating original editions.

Hearts are guaranteed to beat faster with popular children's book series such as Tanya Stewner’s »Liliane Susewind« series or Chris Colfer’s »Land of Stories« series. Classics like Cornelia Funke’s »Hinter verzauberten Fenstern,«, John Boyne's books »Der Junge im gestreiften Pyjama« and »Der Junge auf dem Berg,« which have long been incorporated into school curricula, and Ulrich Hub’s »An der Arche um Acht« enhance the lineup. Bestsellers such as Kiera Cass’s »Selection« series, Kathleen Glasgow's »Girl in Pieces,« or Neal Shusterman's »Scythe« ensure that FISCHER Sauerländer's paperbacks are indispensable from any bookshelf.
